Trinidad & Tobago Crusades

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO CRUSADES

Dr Gammons’ latest crusades in Trinidad and Tobago’s national football stadiums were incredible, with hundreds turning to Christ.

Newsweek carried the two page article, “Hundreds at Local Healing Crusades,” stating:

“Healing from sickness, oppression and depression was the order of the weekend at healing crusades featuring international evangelist Dr Peter Gammons at Ato Boldon Stadium in Trinidad and Dwight York Stadium in Tobago.  Tears flowed as wheelchair bound people of all ages claimed their healing.  The large congregation stood to their feet and lifted their hands in praise to God.

Sony Music’s Teen artiste Winsie Anne Cuffie took to the stage accompanied by her dancers to do three of her popular hits.

Rev. Angela Williams led a ‘heaven on earth’ worship session in preparation of things to come.

Dr Gammons delivered a fiery message about ‘The Old Rugged Cross.’ Opening with the well-known hymn, he used it to underscore the importance of forgiveness, love, healing at the cross and victory.
Gammons then made an altar call to which hundreds of people responded.

Hundreds responded to receive Christ

The newspaper article which spanned pages 14 & 15 included six photographs from the crusade including stroke victim Harriram Ramkissoon, 56, who was the first to get out of her wheelchair and walk.

The photograph showed her pushing the empty wheelchair around the stadium.

Another showed a weeping deaf and dumb girl who heard for the first time after Dr Gammons prayed for her.

The Daily Express devoted their cover to the story of Dr Gammons’ hour long meeting with Prime Minister, Hon Patrick Maning. Under the heading, “Maning meets with pastor but HCU president leaves dejected,’ the front-page report included a photograph of Dr Gammons leaving the Prime Minster’s office smiling, while HCU (Hindu Credit Union) President (under investigation), who had been left waiting while the PM met with Dr Gammons, later emerged looking much less happy.

A page 3 article in the Saturday Express (Oct 18th) entitled ‘Pastor gets hour with PM, subtitled Sando Mayer asks evangelist to bless chamber, pray for crime,’ reported :

“Prime Minster Patrick Maning gave more than an hour to Dr Peter Gammons, featured speaker at the National Miracle Meetings…. Manning was not the only one who made time for the pastor.  Yesterday Mayor Ken Furguson hosted the men at City Hall.  He asked Dr Gammons to bless the chamber in which the monthly statutory meetings are held.  Gammons, according to a profile in the FGBMFI’s Magazine was said to have ministered to 100 million people in 70 nations and was a ‘personal friend and adviser of Presidents, Prime Ministers and world leaders’.  Ferguson asked that he pray to help in the fight against crime. “I believe this island needs a miracle now more than ever,’’ he said.”
