"I have seen several preachers who became politicians, but not perform well. Moreover, they become weaker as preachers. Nevertheless, I believe that there is a place for Christians and preachers in politics. One of my good friends is a preacher and will probably run for President in his country in 2010."
As both preacher and adviser Dr Gammons is not afraid to raise issues of importance to Christians.

An association of atheists has launched a 'No God' advertising campaign on buses across Britain and on the London Underground with the slogan: 'There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.'
Theology think tank Theos and the Methodist Church said it was a great way to keep people thinking about God. However, the offices of London Metro, the government body responsible for the city's buses and subways, have already received several complaints from the devout about the advertisements.
GREEDY BANKS BAILED OUT. GUESS WHO PAYS THE BILL!
Gordon Brown has managed to persuade the world's governments to bail out the banks to the tune of billions of pounds.
Yet those same banks paid out 18 billions of pounds in bonuses and 49 out of 92 finance directors received salaries of over one million pounds last year. All he has really done is paid their ridiculous salaries or should I say given it to us taxpayers to pay! These fat cats should be arrested as criminals, not bailed out. How can such irresponsible management be rewarded with millions of bonuses? The 'blame it on US sub prime house loans' is just an elaborate smokescreen. If the bank bosses were asked to repay their last years bonuses to tax payers that would cover half of the Government loan. Instead us tax payers are given it to pay ..... as if the greedy banks don't rob their customers enough (for example, most credit cards are charging 35% interest anually). Sadly in Britain, the real criminals get away with it. They rob billlions from investers, while the man who robs his employer of a few thousand out of desperation gets time behind bars. Im not excusing the thief, but, this fiasco just highlights how there is one law for the rich and another for the poor in Britain.
The rescue package is being hailed as one of Gordon Brown’s greatest achievements. But who is responsible for the collapse in the first place? Fiscal policies allowed banks to lend to people who could never afford to repay. It was obvious that the crash would come. But guess who has to foot the bill? The Banks? No, the taxpayer - you and me.
The reason they have gone under is because they are controlled by totally corrupt people on ridiculous salaries. I’ve preached for years that ‘stocks and shares are the rich man’s lottery’. These investors couldn’t care less about you. They’ll blow your money on their private jets and yachts until they've spent it all, then go bankrupt and you’ll lose the lot. Investing in anything you do not control (except Government secured Bank Accounts) is total foolishness.
The same is true of so called Pensions plans. Putting the payments in a normal high interest bank account will yield higher returns through the power of compound interest!

Heathrow worker's appeal over cross

A devout Christian is due to begin an appeal against an employment tribunal ruling that British Airways did not discriminate when it asked her to stop wearing a cross.
Although Nadia Eweida still works for the airline, which has since changed its uniform policy to allow a cross to be worn, she said the appeal is to ensure Christians everywhere are free to "show their faith".
Miss Eweida said she was told by a manager to remove her cross necklace or hide it from sight when she was working on the check-in desk during a diversity awareness meeting in October 2006.
When she refused, she was put on unpaid leave from her post at Heathrow Airport.
She said she lost about £3,500 in wages during the three months she was off work.
Miss Eweida returned to work in February last year after the airline changed its uniform policy.
She lost her claim for religious discrimination in January this year.
Miss Eweida said the root of her complaint was that the airline had "rules for one minority group but not the other".
She said that while Muslims and Sikhs were allowed to wear hijabs and religious Kara bangles respectively, she as a Christian was asked to remove her religious jewellery.
The Employment Appeal Tribunal hearing, which is expected to last one and a half days, is being held in central London.
US $1,000,000 PAY OFF FOR BLAIR'S SUPPORT OF BUSH?
We all now know that the Iraq war was launched by US misinformation concerning "weapons of mass destruction" that never existed. It helped George Bush finish off where his father had failed. Britain went against European opinion in backing Bush to the point that US media joked that Bush had anew puppy called ‘Tony’! Joking aside, it circulated in the US.
Blair was paid off in the form of a $1,000,000 'university lecture tour' on resigning as Primer Minister, for supporting Bush.
The US is notorious for paying off politicians who support them. IS IT TRUE MR BLAIR? If so, shouldn't you pass the $1m on to the British widows and orphans of soldiers killed in Iraq because of your decisions?
JOKING or ......!?
Contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House in D.C.; one from New Jersey, another from Tennessee and the third, from Florida. They go with a White House official to examine the fence.
The Florida contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. "Well", he says, "I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."
The Tennessee contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."
The New Jersey contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700."
The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?"
The New Jersey contractor whispers back, "$1,000 for me, $1,000 for you, and we hire the guy from Tennessee to fix the fence."
"Done!" replies the government official.And that is how it all works!

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?
Have you ever heard it said, "Why doesn't God do something?" The answer is because He gave mankind dominion over the earth.
The word 'dominion' means 'absolute authority and supreme control'. He made us responsible.
Jesus said, "What you bind on earth is bound, what you loose is loosed". Prayer and action go together.
Sometimes saying, "I'll pray about it" can be a cop-out. The future and destiny of our nation is in our hands.
IT'S TIME TO ACT!
COMMUNITY WITH NO MORALITY
Harringey has been labelled as having communities with no morality after a baby was murdered. According to the Times Newspaper's Leading Article in November 13th 2008, the child's mother appears never to have had a job and watched pornographic movies on TV all the time while her infant son cried for attention.
She shared her filthy council house with two men, neither of whom were the father of the child. One was allegedly a sadist of appalling barbarity who collected Nazi memorabilia, the other imported his 15 year old girl friend into the house. Where were the parents of that girl? Who was looking out for her? What sort of society has taken root in what was supposed to be a civilised society?
At the same time, the papers were reporting the story of a woman who allegedly locked her daughter up in a room and told police she was missing, in order to claim a £50,000 reward. If there is no God, who is to say she was wrong to exploit 'the system'? The local council? Were we to delve into their lives, we might well find that certain actions of the local councillors were wrong.
Some judges consider themselves above the system and politicians daily milk the system. Alongside the above story was that of a politician who put in a £½ million expenses claim. He merely lost his job; the woman who tried to get £50,000 will go to jail. Although she is also on trial for kidnapping and imprisoning her daughter, she would still have faced a jail sentence for attempting to defraud the authorities. So it appears there is one law for the politicians, and another for the man in the street. Without God, everything becomes subjective and every person decides for themselves what is right or wrong. Any Godless system for deciding what is right or wrong leads to a totalitarian state.
What newspapers and politicians forget is that morality is based on the fact that there is a God. If there is no God, then everything becomes personal preference. If there is no God, there is no right or wrong. Right or wrong is determined by the individual. Many of the minority groups have pushed this to the extent; “What I do is my business and nothing to do with youâ€. If there is no God, then that is true. However, where do we stop? If there is no God, then murder becomes a personal preference. If there is no God, child abuse becomes personal preference rather than something that is 'wrong'. This is the fruit of believing that there is no God.
David Cameron has called
Civilization is based on the fact that there is a God. The Atheistic Communistic system, where millions were murdered because they would not submit to an imposed ideology and treat men as their god, is simply evidence of what the world becomes when God is removed. Our country is rapidly becoming a police state, with politicians regarding themselves as god.
Where has our society gone? How have we stooped to the point where murdering babies has become a form of birth control? Even what we might call 'uncivilized' tribes protect their children and unborn. What we have seen around us is what happens when a nation removes God from their thinking. Not long ago, the story hit the headlines of a judge in
To take just one of the Commandments, remove thou shalt not kill, and how can you tell a person it is wrong to murder? What we have today are laws that are inconsistent. We excuse a person who kills their own unborn child by saying it is ‘personal choice and a woman's 'right'. Yet if a man kills a pregnant woman he is charged with double murder.
Society talks of people not having a conscience, but if there is no God, conscience is no more than social conditioning. It is simply one man's opinion against that of another. The Times reference to communities without morality is an anomaly, for morality is based on belief in God. If there is no God, there is no morality and a person who tries to trick money out of the government would be an opportunist rather than a criminal.
A man once said to me on a TV programme 'There are no absolutes', to which I replied, 'can you be absolutely sure of that?' If there are no absolutes then eliminating anyone who stands in your way would be the logical thing to do, as atheistic and Godless governments have freely done. The Communist Khymer Rouge murdered anyone who wore glasses, claiming they were intellectuals. Hitler and Stalin are classic examples. Murder was regarded as no more than purging the population.

If the theory of evolution were true, it would be consistent, but it is not. Dinosaur' footprints have been found alongside those of men “ they should have been separated by millions of years! Items of intricate jewellery have been found in strata apparently laid down millions of years before mankind walked the earth.
If our world were as old as the theory of evolution needs it to be, astronauts should have found several feet of dust on the moon as it is void of wind and seas. Instead they found only a few centimetres.
A fact that Dawkins tries to hide is that numerous scientists as academically qualified as himself have come to faith in God BECAUSE of the evidence of archaeology.

Church may be Forced to Close over Muslim Neighbour Singing Complaint
A LONDON Church was effectively ‘silenced’ by a Court after a decision by Magistrates to uphold a noise abatement notice, not to play excessive sound, after just one Muslim neighbour complained about noise levels of worship in a church which was next door to the house he purchased.
Singing Songs of Praise on a Sunday is normal Church activity. Using amplification is a normal part of Church life and it was argued at the Court hearing that the normal use of a Church building entails worship and cannot constitute noise nuisance.
Immanuel House of Worship Church has been meeting at 89 Vallentin Road in Walthamstow since it bought the premises in 2006. The Church was built in 1894 and was formerly used by the United Reformed Church, when the Church owned all the land on which the current properties are now built.
The property next door to the church, No 87, was formerly the Manse (vicarage) until 1989, when it was then sold by the United Reformed Church. In 2005, No 87 was sold to the current occupants. Mr and Mrs Baha Uddin. From 2005 – 2006, the property was empty and vagrants frequently hung around church. Currently, the IHOW church offers a nursery to serve the whole neighbourhood and has an impressive list of neighbours who welcome the church and who do not regard their worship as a problem.
However, Mr and Mrs Uddin complained about the level of noise of worship coming from the church for just 40 minutes a week and an Abatement Notice was served on the Church Trustees on 6 May 2009 under Environmental Protection Act 1990 section 79(1) (g). The church appealed to the magistrate court and the hearing took place on 5 and 6 October at Waltham Forest Magistrates Court.
Mr Ade Ajike, a Trustee of the church said: “When we moved into Valentinn Road in 2007, we had renovated the property and bricked up the three windows facing house No 87. We also double glazed all the windows, except one stained glass window, and spent £10,000 to carry out sound-reducing. In fact, the Council’s environmental department at the time said it would be enough just to brick up the windows. “After moving in we invited Environmental Officers to visit the premises and we got the OK. We also visited neighbours and took them potted plants , and had no problem until Mr Uddin made his official complaint in August 2008.
“Gary Vickers, an Environmental health enforcement officer visited Mr Uddin’s house on 10th August (Sunday worship service time) and on 12 August issued a letter to us saying that in his opinion, the volume from the music was of statutory noise nuisance level throughout the neighbours’ property. He suggested to deal with matter through sensible negotiation, informing our Pastor that ‘the church had to keep the noise down so as not to offend the Muslims living in the area’. He told us ‘this is a Muslim borough, you have to tread carefully’.”
During August, IHOW took action. They reduced hours of Sunday worship from 4 hours to 2 hours 30 mins, of which music is played for about 45 minutes. They reduced their weekly services to one service on Sunday, and all mid-week services held are skeletal services without music. Sunday evening services were reduced to once a month. The Trustees also took the decision not to hire out the premises in case noise would aggravate Mr Uddin, a move which has cost the church additional revenue. However, the visiting officer changed and questioning got more hostile.
Mr Ajike said: “Officers questioned the church why they needed amplifiers when 50 years ago the Church would not have used drums and amplified music. On 6 May 2009, an Abatement Notice was issued against the church alleging an unreasonable level of noise nuisance caused by excessive loud amplified music and drums.
“Since then we have stopped using drums and further reduced our worship time to 20 minutes beginning from 11.30am on a Sunday morning. We have also restricted church services to once a week. Despite all our action, Mr Uddin, who actually lives in what was the former Manse (vicarage) to the church, would stand at church’s main entrance door and shout his complaints and demand our Pastor come out to speak to him during his sermon.”
The IHOW has sought the advice of the Christian Legal Centre over their plight and to appeal this week’s decision. CLC has instructed leading Human Right’s expert Paul Diamond to represent the church at the Appeal.
Andrea Minichiello Williams, barrister and director of the CLC said:
“The charge of nuisance in law must involve proving there is a substantial interference with comfort. Surely, any reasonable person would think that singing for 40 minutes or so once or twice a week would not cross this threshold. Worship in a Church is to be expected. The Environmental Health Officers do not seem to have taken this fact into account. This is a vibrant Afro Caribbean community of Christian believers whose worship of God is fundamental to the expression of their faith. The richness and vibrancy of groups like the London Gospel Community Choir is based on the Afro Caribbean expression of faith through music. ’

One complaint about an offensive scene in a TV programme is taken to represent 1,000 who felt the same way, but didn't bother writing.
Just 200 complaints can have an unwholesome programme removed. So, don't put up with trash any longer - speak up and speak out.

70% COERCED INTO ABORTION
Angela Watkinson, Conservative MP for Upminster has boldly proposed a new Clause in the Commons to ensure that any woman considering a termination does so having been offered counselling and advice concerning the likely risks both to her emotional and physical health and the likely impact on future pregnancies.
According to a report by the Communicate Research this year, 70% of those who have received abortions have revealed afterwards that they were coerced into the decision. The report claims that one third of women will change their minds about having an abortion if given time and space to think about it.
Dr Peter Saunders, general secretary of the Christian Medical Fellowship, believes that many women are also unaware of the risks to their mental and physical health and the posibility of being unable to conceive in the future.
The British Medical Association has also appeared in support of the Clause, after its Annual Representative meeting recorded that it "urges the BMA to campaign for increased counselling and supporty for women before and after this procedure".
Biddy Colyer of Pregnancy Crisis, Norfolk said, "The church could be really useful in helping offer support to women considering abortion, but for some reason they have always been reluctant to get involved. They don't really understand the issues.
Evan Harris, Liberal Democrat MP for Oxford West and Abingdon denounced Ms Watkinson's proposal as unnecessary and unethical. He claimed, "it would be unethical to impose by statute, or in any other way, information on people. According to the Church of England newspaper, Mr Harris is also backing amendments to the 1967 Abortion Act such as removing the need to have two doctors authoriseing abortions to just one, and legalising abortion in Northern Ireland.
WHEN IS A FOETUS NOT A FOETUS?
The British Law is severly flawed. If a man kills a pregnant woman he is charged with double murder. Yet a woman can kill her unborn child and it is simply called 'a foetus'. Is it a child or not? The law says it is, but a mother has the right to terminate its life. Yet if seconds later it had been born, she would face a lengthy prison sentence for murder for ending its life! MPs talk abut protecting a woman's rights, but when will someone protect the unborn child's rights?

SOMETHING TO PONDER!
A worried woman went to her gynaecologist and said:
'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 yr. old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together.'
So the doctor said: 'Ok, and what do you want me to do?'
She said: 'I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help with this.'
The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.'
She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.
Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take care of 2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.
The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child!
'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be ok with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.
He convinced the mum that there is no difference between killing a child that's already been born and one that's still in the womb. The crime is the same!
UK SUPPORT FOR 'FAITH BASED' SCHOOLS
According to new research poll by opinion Research Business, most of the UK population believes it has the right to choose a faith based state school for its children. The survey was of 1,000 respondents across Britain - from both religious and non religious backgrounds. Two thirds agreed that parents should be able to chosse a state run school for their child based on their own religious, moral or philosophical considerations.
Almost 60% of those surveyed said that church schools do not contribute to creating divisions in society. 70% said that church schools give places to children of all backbrounds. 79% believed that church schools provide a broad and balanced education.
Mr Smeaton said, "Now millions of unborn children will never hear about superheroes because they will be dead". Mr Obama is a co-sponsor of the "Freedom of Choice Act", a bill which would remove virtually all limitations on abortion and make partial birth abortion legal again. His voting record as a US senator reveals that he even voted against saving the lives of babies who survive late term abortions!
Mr Obama is also committed to re-instating US funding for the UNFPA which participates in programmes of forced abortion in China. "No wonder the Christian Defence Coalition has called him the abortion president", said John Smeaton.
